If you only changed one thing to build your confidence what would it be?
In my opinion, there is one thing you could get really good at that would help you build your confidence faster. What is it?
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Figure out how you handle being uncomfortable and learn to manage your mind and your actions around your response to it. The more you work on this part of your life, the faster you will begin changing your self-esteem and build the best you possible.
Yes, you must be willing to set goals, do the work to achieve them, and do whatever it takes. However, if you are not practiced at being uncomfortable you won't be willing to stretch yourself to higher stakes. If you maintain comfort all the time, you will get comfortable results.
Want the BIG, results. Be willing to do the uncomfortable thing. Make the uncomfortable ask. Make the uncomfortable pitch. Be the uncomfortable challenger. Be the first to pave a path.
Your key to confidence is learning, practicing, and managing yourself around comfort!
Go out this week and do one or two things you are not comfortable doing. How do you feel? How did your body react? What is your brain saying to you?
What did you learn from the experience? You can learn until you try. You won't try if you aren't willing to face your fear and do it anyway! Go be uncomfortable!

Is people pleasing killing your confidence? Does your self-esteem suffer because you say yes when you really want to say no?
Do you seek approval from others by doing more than your share or fear rejection if you don't do what others want you to do?
Hello! I'm Heather and I am a recovering people pleaser. This means I still work on NOT people pleasing. I have learned how to spot it when I am people pleasing rather than taking care of me. I notice when I am resentful or overwhelmed but it is due to my choices. I now know what questions I can ask myself to figure out if what I am doing or saying yes to is in alignment with my self-care.
When we neglect ourselves and take care of others eventually you lose and the other person loses to. How can you balance the yes's and the no's so you can be happy, joyful, and still nurture your relationships?
Don't skip this one, it's gonna be a good one!
People pleasers aren't bad people. If you are a people pleaser, you are just doing what you think you should be doing. There are ways you can balance YOU and your self-care with the needs of people around you.
The first step is knowing when you are people pleasing verses when you are simply choosing to do something with or for someone out of the goodness of your heart. When you do it to seek approval or out of fear of not being liked at the expense of your own needs being met, you can create resentment, feeling disconnected, and unneeded stress on your relationship.

The way we have been taught to think about negative thoughts is all wrong in some ways. When we make negative thoughts something to be fully avoided we miss the value they have.
Consider your negative thoughts a compass for the way you are currently interpreting the world around you. This interpretation keeps you stuck or helps you move forward. You have an opportunity to use your negative thoughts in your favor by taking time to observe them objectively and make informed decisions on keeping the thought or changing the thought.
You have the ability to just ditch a thought if you want. In this episode, I explain why this doesn't work for some thoughts. I also give you practical ways to evaluate and modify thoughts that go beyond writing affirmations on a post it to repeat.
Once you understand how your thoughts are creating your ability to move forward to take action or keep you from taking action, you understand the priceless value of learning the process of managing your thoughts.
Managing your thoughts for your desired outcome gives you more success and more confidence. Ultimately learning to turn your negative thoughts into thoughts that create confidence over and over!

I am on the countdown to one full year of podcasting! I've learned more than I could ever put into words but I will do my best in this episode.
What life lessons have I learned from a year of podcasting?
You can learn from everything you do. What have you learned lately? I would love to hear all about it.
The 10 life lessons I learned from this past year were impactful for me and I hope they are helpful for you as well.
1. Life is hard sometimes even when you are doing something you want to do.
2. You can simultaneously love something and hate it at the same time.
3. All you have to do is decide you want something and go for it. It's that simple.
4. Nothing has to be perfect.
5. Even when you think you have it all figured out there is more to learn.
6. We are so much more than what we do.
7. When you step out of your comfort zone you expand everything about yourself.
8. You have the ability to reimagine your life and create a life you love, it simply takes action.
9. The grass is not greener it's just different.
10. Being you will always be better than trying to be someone else.

How does confidence impact daily life?
Confidence can be convenient in sneaky everyday ways. When you think about your ability to handle daily life, do you think about your confidence?
